    The Red Hat DXP Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will use your technical skills to help us improve our customer-facing solutions and develop automated tests for a functional area of a solution within our extensive portfolio of offerings. To do so successfully, you'll first need to understand the solution's architecture and how it integrates with other offerings. As a Senior Software Quality Engineer, you will serve as an individual contributor of the team and interact with other team members and developers.

    What you will do

    • Define automated test strategies, methodologies, processes, and procedures
    • Investigate and implement test architectures and associated infrastructure pieces to support the QE methodology, process, and procedures
    • Participate and contribute to team meetings
    • Provide an accurate and timely status of testing efforts and quality statistics to the product leadership team
    • Oversee the work of other quality engineers and be a resource for technical guidance of the team
    • Plan and implement testing automation jobs and pipelines using continuous integration (CI)

    What you will bring

    • Bachelor's degree in information technology (IT) or computer science with 3 years of related experience
    • Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or Javascript
    • Expertise in user interface (UI) test automation using Selenium or other open source tools
    • Expertise in API, HTTP communication and Performance testing of web applications.
    • Experience with testing web-based applications, preferably through a REST API
    • Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or other collaborative code forges
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git
    • Good to have : Shell scripting knowledge
    • Passion for open source technologies
    • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills
    • Understanding of Software testing and engineering concepts
