Software Quality Assurance Tester jobs in Baton Rouge, LA

This position is responsible for assisting with the development, documentation, oversight, and execution of testing efforts for all software products and software changes that ultimately affect the systems designed to process gaming and back office transactions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

• Develop, design and document functional test scripts and project specific test plans which define the procedures, personnel, schedules, expected outcomes and milestones for assigned projects. 
• Arrange, organize, and maintain the test environment consisting of host hardware, communication hardware, terminal hardware and peripherals, test equipment and all software necessary to complete the test function. 
• Design and execute manual and automated test cases and checklists.  Aid in the coordination of the test activities with the gaming vendor and lottery personnel as necessary.
• Manage the help desk which includes assisting and supporting other employees in the use of the gaming back office system, and all other network and system help related to Microsoft office products.  Help desk functions include answering phone calls, responding to emails, logging issues and their subsequent resolutions into helpdesk tracking software.  Follow-up with the employee, department and gaming vendor as required for final problem resolution. 
•  Maintain helpdesk call detail history to include summarizing and monthly resolution reporting by call type. Track and maintain records of trouble reporting with the current Lottery Gaming System. Identifying and documenting issues for resolution and system improvement. 
• Seek to enhance existing QA processes, procedures and tools to improve QA functions and processes.
