We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineering Specialist to join our Operations and Technical department. This role requires interfacing with a dynamic team encompassing manufacturing plant operations and various engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing process control systems such as Honeywell Experion PKS, other Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and PLCs, along with managing both Windows and Linux based workstation and server environments. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in new project implementations and existing system maintenance, ensuring high levels of functionality and optimization.
Salary: $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Interface with multiple teams across manufacturing operations and engineering fields.
- Provide routine maintenance and improvements to various process control systems, including Honeywell Experion PKS and other DCS.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of Safety Instrumented Systems and PLCs.
- Ensure the reliability and security of both Windows and Linux-based system architectures.
- Contribute to new project implementations by integrating advanced control technologies.
- Develop and implement strategies for system optimization and upgrades.
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Chemical Engineering.
- At least 8 years of direct accountability for process controls.
- Minimum 4 years of plant manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrable experience in multiple new control system projects.
- Proven expertise in maintaining existing control systems.
- Familiarity with systems from global suppliers like Emerson and Honeywell and integration with PLC systems.
- Minimum of 3 years experience with Honeywell Experion PKS process controls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Process Safety Management in high hazard processes.
- Proficiency in VMware or other virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2018, 10).
- Adept at managing TCP/IP-based networks including switches and routers.
- Knowledge in communication buses such as Modbus, DeviceNet, OPC, Profibus, etc.
- Programming skills in VBA and/or Java.
- Familiarity with the S88 batch standard and ISA 18.2 alarm management.
