About the Job:
Join a leading financial services organization with a commitment to integrity, collaboration, and excellence. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls through financial, operational and SOX internal audits. This position involves planning, executing comprehensive audit programs, and assessing risks across corporate activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct financial and operational internal audits, including Sarbanes-Oxley testing.
Develop and execute audit programs, assess internal controls, and review compliance with regulations and internal policies.
Prepare detailed audit reports, communicate findings to management, and monitor issue validation testing.
Collaborate with stakeholders, external auditors, and regulators.
Ensure adequacy and effectiveness of controls in specialized environments like BSA/AML and Structured Finance.
Actively seek and maintain professional certifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (Masters preferred).
3 years of experience in public accounting or internal audit.
Certifications desired: CPA and/or CIA (or other relevant certifications).
Commitment to Continuing Professional Education.
Excellent communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Familiarity with financial services industry practices.
