GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Under general supervision of the Director of Day Services, the Individual Supported Employment Coordinator supervises, administers and develops job placements for persons with disabilities into competitive employment with loyal industry or business.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop service plans as required.
2. Identifies and develops local employment opportunities within local industry and business, based upon the needs of persons with disabilities.
3. Provide on-the-job training to individuals for the duration necessary.
4. Provides routine monitoring of job placements and serves as an advocate. those currently hired at Walgreens.)
5. Maintain open and effective communication with all departments.
6. Provides technical assistance to prospective employers on employing persons with disabilities.
7. Provides needs assessment, worksite evaluation, and assessment.
8. Transports, and directs transportation for workers with disabilities in the Job Coach area during the training and hiring period. (for the application process and interviews)
9. Communicate with families and workers related to job placement needs.
10. Maintains compliance with standards related to Job Coach Services.
11. Provides statistical reporting as required by ACDSNB and DDSN.
12. Routine Therap reporting. (documenting services that were provided daily, and units used for that service.)
13. Provides monitorship and needed interventions for CS/ID-RD/State-Funded Waiver consumers arriving early and departing after 2:45 pm when available.
14. Attending Job Coach counterpart meetings where designated.
15. Attend and participate in available job fairs.
16. Maintains health, safety, and accountability of persons served.
17. Provides compliance with Board and DSN policies, procedures, and standards.
18. Oversees compliance regulations as relates to Alliant and Licensing.
19. Participates in daily supervisory floor monitoring of services as designated by the Director of Day Services during meetings.
20. Responsible for maintaining a neat and clean work/service environment which includes office and other common areas utilized by staff and participants during the service period.
21. Other related duties may be directed by supervisory personnel.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Concentration in adult development services.
· Ability to work flexible hours.
· Prior demonstrated experience in establishing community based resources.
· Valid SC driver license with good driving record.
· Ability to interact effectively with others.
· Ability to supervise employees and provide for a sound and effective work environment.
· Ability to task analyze a working environment.
· Ability to manage and organize multiple tasks.
· Good initiative, motivation, organization skills, written and verbal communication skills.
