    Annual Salary Range: $47,000 - $52,900

    The Division of Employment Security, UI Integrity Section is looking for someone with proven experience in the areas of collaboration and team building to lead and direct a team of Regulatory Auditors in our Special Investigations Unit! This unit works to protect the integrity of Missouri’s unemployment insurance program by auditing and investigating unemployment claims in an effort to detect fraudulent claim filings, investigate allegations of identity theft and assist with the recovery of overpaid benefits.

    What you will do:

    • Perform the supervisory duties of the Special Investigations subunit.
    • Assign and review the work of Regulatory Auditors engaged in investigating unemployment insurance fraud and the recovery of overpaid unemployment benefits.
    • Review and make recommendations for criminal prosecution referrals of fraud cases as they relate to the Unemployment Insurance program.
    • Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, established chain of command, federal, state and local agencies and the public and conduct all duties with professionalism, courtesy, concern and respect.
    • Exercise independent judgment and initiative within established laws, policies, and procedures.
    • Demonstrate discretion on escalating concerns and in following the established chain of command, and abide by all lawful instructions of managers.
    • Actively facilitate and maintain a team concept among staff, the broader UI Integrity section and the agency as a whole.
    • Ensure a high standard of cooperation, collaboration and communication within the unit, throughout the agency, and in working with section/agency leadership.
    • Provide timely and regular guidance and training to ensure employees are well informed, understand expectations and meet required performance metrics.
    • Provide on-going review and evaluation of employees’ performance giving appropriate feedback, coaching and taking corrective actions when appropriate to achieve individual, team and agency success.
    • Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement and in streamlining of processes and procedures within the unit.
    • Utilize tact, diplomacy and professionalism at all times in performance of job duties and when representing the Division.
    • Accept and implement feedback with a positive attitude and constructively support management direction and open communication.
    • Accept additional assignments willingly.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

    • Supportive of management/agency direction and initiatives, to include but not limited to, cross-training to address workload requirements that may exist in other sections.
    • Ability to develop, implement, and administer unit goals and objectives.

    • Ability to manage change of work procedures within the unit.
    • Ability to develop short and long-range plans that meet established objectives, and contribute to the overall goals and mission of the Division.

    • Excellent problem-solving, time management, oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
    • Highly motivated and work as part of a diverse team.
