The Speech Pathologist evaluates speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors. Diagnoses and treats speech and language problems, and engages in scientific study of human communication. Being a Speech Pathologist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive, communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders. Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic and nonorganic etiology. In addition, Speech Pathologist maintains records, monitors progress, and counsels patients and their family members. May require a certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology (CCC). Requires a master's degree of speech-language pathology. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Speech Pathologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. About the Position:
At Big Stone Therapies, you're part of a comprehensive health family that is rooted in our core values of faith, family, fairness, and fun. We are a growing company looking for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for our team at Olivia Hospital and Clinic in Olivia, MN.
This position will work primarily in an outpatient setting, with some expansion into hospital inpatient and home health to provide a continuum of care for the Olivia community. With a variety of patient populations - treating pediatrics to adults - this role offers the chance to see something new every week! Typical diagnoses include pediatric developmental delays, swallowing disorders, cognitive therapy, and aphasia therapy. There is opportunity for a pediatric-based leadership role for this clinic as well.
This is a benefited position that will generally be scheduled for 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE), Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders program. They must have, or be eligible for, SLP licensing in Minnesota.
