Sponsored Programs Director directs and oversees externally funded programs for a university/college such as research programs and scholarship programs. Responsible for managing the administrative activities of the program including identifying funding sources, acquiring funding, setting program policies and objectives, and allocating resources. Being a Sponsored Programs Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Sponsored Programs Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sponsored Programs Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Stevens is seeking an experienced leader to fulfill the role of Program Director. The ideal candidate for this position has exceptionally strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and a comprehensive understanding of the complex macro and micro-level aspects of a residential program and organization. The Program Director must simultaneously be a collaborative, independent, engaging and results-oriented leader.

    The Program Director oversees programming and youth care at Stevens, and serves as the person who operationalizes the agency mission and vision on a day-to-day basis. The Program Director oversees all program departments and directly supervises program directors. The Program Director’s objective is to ensure the provision of mission-driven, trauma-informed and high quality care.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree from an accredited college or university
    • Minimum of five years of experience in a leadership position in a congregate care program
    • Demonstrated ability to relate to adults and trauma-impacted adolescents
    • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership on a day-to-day basis, as well as in crisis situations
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative manner with a variety of disciplines and levels of staff within an organization
    • Demonstrated knowledge of residential treatment
    • Three references from professional supervisors verifying qualifications

    Schedule:
    40-hour schedule; Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm; flexibility required to meet the needs of the program

    Pay Rate: Competitive pay offered depending on experience and degree

    $1,000 sign-on bonus

    $2,000 / year for verified, bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish
