Staff Accountant jobs in Flint, MI

• Process vendor bills, reconciling vendor statements according to the company approval process.
• Process invoices for services rendered, including progress billings in a timely manner.
• Process bi-weekly payroll.
• Collaborates with Managers and others to provide accurate and timely job costing.
• Assists with creating, updating, analyzing, and reporting on financial reports and other data.
• Assists with month end process, preparing account reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Ensures compliance with accounting processes and procedures.
• Contributes to creating operating budgets.
• Responds to information requests.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Associates Degree in accounting required, Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, or equivalent experience not less than 5 years full G/L.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Time management skills.
• Problem solving ability.
• Job costing or cost accounting experience.
• Organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
