Robert Half is currently seeking a talented Staff Accountant, with a fast-track to Assistant Controller, to join one of our esteemed clients, a well-known group of dealerships located in North Little Rock, AR. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while supporting the finance team in various accounting functions.Responsibilities:Perform month-end close procedures including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business initiatives.Assist with internal and external audit processes.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to management as needed.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.2 years of experience in accounting or related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience in the automotive industry or dealership accounting preferred but not required.Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
