The Position:

We are looking for a positive, energetic Staff Accountant to complement our experienced workforce. This position is located at the Corporate Headquarters in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The position is responsible for assisting in the recording, reconciling, and reporting of Company financial data while applying appropriate accounting principles to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.

Applicants should have the ability to:

• Prepare assigned monthly account reconciliation schedules
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Review general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
• Assist with monthly closing and financial statement preparation
• Maintain fixed asset sub-ledger
• Assist with preparation of monthly forecast
• Provide support in budget preparation
• Assist with data collection and analysis
• Maintain company license renewals
• Interdepartmental support
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting or Finance required
• Experience: 0-3 years in corporate accounting, public accounting, or internship required
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Construction accounting experience a plus
• Intermediate ERP skills - Viewpoint Vista a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products - Intermediate level required
