Staff Accountant jobs in Saint Cloud, MN

Electro Industries based in Monticello, MN is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join their team.  This position will be responsible for the general accounting responsibilities for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Assist departments with all general accounting operations
• Maintain accounting records and general ledger reconciliations in accordance with Company accounting policies
• Complete month-end financial closing process -performing account reconciliations and analysis, journal entry preparation/entry, and communicating explanations to Management
• Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and understanding and communicate any discrepancies to the Laars controller
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and reports for distribution to the management team
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and distribution of financial reports
• Participate in the year-end financial audit by preparing workpapers and reports for the external auditors
• Responsible for timely and accurate remittance of sales taxes, government filings and account reconciliations
• Daily cash reporting
• Fixed Asset management – additions, disposals, depreciation analysis
• Assist in the budget process
• Other responsibilities related to treasury/accounting may be assigned

 Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required
• A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience
• Experience using an ERP system and other reporting tools preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
