Staff Nurse - RN - Burn provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in the burn unit. Examines, prepares, cleans, and dresses patient burn wounds. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Burn evaluates, plans, and documents nursing care for burn patients, as needed. Promotes patients' well-being by teaching patients and families to understand burn wound conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Burn may administer medication and IV treatments to alleviate patients' pain and discomfort. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Burn's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Qualifications: 1 years Rehab experience

Job Summary: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.
Actual start dates may be prior to the estimated date listed on this position. Actual start dates are aligned to the beginning of a Mercy pay period and contingent upon final clearance of all required onboarding documents.
