Staff Nurse - RN - Burn provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in the burn unit. Examines, prepares, cleans, and dresses patient burn wounds. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Burn evaluates, plans, and documents nursing care for burn patients, as needed. Promotes patients' well-being by teaching patients and families to understand burn wound conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Burn may administer medication and IV treatments to alleviate patients' pain and discomfort. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Burn's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Focus Staff is seeking a traveling ER RN to provide patient care to all ages and background who are experiencing trauma, injury, or acute onset symptoms.
Contract Assignment: 13 Weeks (Temporary, Travel)
Shift: 3x12 Nights

Requirements:- Motivated candidates who are looking for career growth
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
- BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
- Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families
Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities:- Total patient care, including medication, orders, and treatments
- Accurately assess and triage patients in a thorough and efficient manner
- Perform the techniques of CPR and other emergency actions accurately and effectively
- Closely monitor cardiac and physical status of patient
- Assist in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition
- Maintain clinical records
- Utilize sterile procedures
- All other responsibilities as needed
