Evaluates and treats patients prior to and during transport, ensuring patient safety and implementing life support measures as needed. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport monitors patient condition, documents nursing care, and reports patient status to clinical staff at receiving medical facility. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Flight Transport typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. May require Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) certification.
