Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care Admissions evaluates patients referred to home care services and determines the types of services to be provided. Interviews the patient and family to determine appropriateness for services. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care Admissions obtains initial and ongoing referral documentation from physicians, insurers, and providers. Coordinates the development of patient home care plans that specify the frequency and duration of the services provided. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care Admissions initiates care with service providers. Completes admission, referral, and insurance forms. Utilizes health record management software. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent. Requires an RN license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care Admissions's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     Focus Staff is seeking a traveling OR RN to work as an Operating room nurse (or perioperative nurse) to assist surgeons during operations and keep the operating room sterile at all times.

    Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary/Travel/Contract)
    Shift: 3x12 Days

    Requirements:
    • Proven experience as operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)
    • Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
    • Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
    • In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
    • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.

    • Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns
    • Monitor patient’s vital signs to detect anomalies
    • Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned
    • Evaluate patient in postoperative phases
    • Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation
    Work Experience: At least 2 years of OR experience
