Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in a home care environment. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient home care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care performs examinations and prescribed procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Home Care promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. About Our Agency and the Role
Western Illinois Home Health Care is a local, family-owned and operated company seeking a professional Registered Nurse to join our team. We are searching for a talented Registered Nurse to serve communities in West Central Illinois with a passion to enhance the quality of life of elderly patients to help them to safely remain in their homes. Experienced RNs looking for full-time work with 1:1 care are encouraged to apply. Our core hours are 8 AM – 5 PM. Weekend on call rotation 1 time per month.

Qualifications
Qualifications include a current RN license and a strong clinical background with excellent assessment skills. Candidates with the ability to effectively schedule and manage complex cases desired. Home care experience preferred, but not required; we have a strong commitment to the training and development of our staff. Associate’s Degree required with preference given to those who currently have or are working toward BSN.
