Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment. Administers intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy determines appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site. Observes patients' IV treatment and records observations in patient medical records. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require CRNI certification as an infusion nurse. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Infusion Therapy's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. The RN is directly accountable and responsible for the quality of care provided to patients and has the authority to direct care, provide education, seek resources at the unit/department level, and delegate appropriate tasks. Uses their specialized knowledge to perform the activities of administration, supervision, delegation and evaluation of nursing practice. The RN has continuous contact with physicians, patients, patient families/significant others, community agencies, patient care staff, and management.Minimum Requirements:Pediatric experience strongly preferredAt least one (1) year acute care experience preferredPrevious IV therapy experience preferredCentral line experience preferred Education/Licenses/Certifications:Bachelors Degree in Nursing, or obtained within three years from the initial date of hire. Employees may be grandfathered if hired in or prior to January 2021Advanced Degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferredLicensed in the State of Washington as a Registered NursePEARS certification as indicated by unit specific expectationsCurrent BLS level CPR certification Shift: Day Employment Type: Part Time - Regular
