Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care provides professional nursing care to assigned psychiatric patients in a home care environment. Conducts patient intake assessments, develops mental health care plans in conjunction with psychiatrist, and administers medications. Being a Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care develops therapeutic relationships with patients and records observations of behavioral changes in patient medical records. Helps family members to understand the nature of the condition, and teaches them how to maintain a healthy environment for the patient. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a valid state RN license. Staff Nurse - RN - Psychiatric Unit - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Job Summary:

    The Staff Registered Nurse is responsible to the Department Director or Manager and is to be clinically competent; delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

    Salary Range: $35.82/hr to $66.24/hrDOE

    License / Certifications:

    Current Washington State RN License required. Current American Heart Association BLS required. Current NIHSS stroke scale certification required within 6 months of hire.

    Experience/Training:

    Registered nurse with a minimum of two years’ experience in acute care and pediatric nursing preferred. Experience may be substituted by completion of the SRH Nurse Residency Program.

    RN required, BSN Preferred. Knowledge of fundamentals of nursing practice and medical surgical and/or critical care nursing.

    Must maintain education hours based on the requirements outlined by applicable regulatory agencies (e.g. DNV, etc.).
