Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management leads the coordination between care providers and plan members with the goal of maximizing member benefits while managing costs. Oversees the assessment of medical necessity of procedures and/or admissions, conducts pre-certification or authorization, and ensures compliance with established guidelines. Being a Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management assists members in appeals for denied services. Interprets benefits and guides members to choose to the appropriate providers, projects and resources. Additionally, Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management applies the medical and reimbursement policies within the claim adjudication process. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Nursing. Typically reports to a manager. Requires RN license. To be a Staff Nurse - RN, Sr. - Medical Management typically requires more than 5 years of related experience. Primary Responsibilities:- Provide medical treatment and administer medication according to physician orders within the scope of their applicable board and state regulations for assistant living.
- Provide world class care and service for our residents while remaining flexible and adapt to change.
- Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
- Work independently (with minimal direct supervision) and with a team to make decisions, organize/prioritize tasks effectively, document clearly, and follow through on assignments.
- Serve as charge nurse on shift for the personal assistants under the direction of the Wellness Leadership team
Education/Experience
- Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others
- Current license for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current CPR certification
- Assisted Living or Long-term care experience preferred
- Current First Aid certification preferred
- Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
