Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing staff development and infection control in a Skilled Nursing and/or Long-Term Care setting.
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal infection control guidelines for healthcare facilities.
Proficiency in developing and delivering effective educational programs.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certified in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff to ensure competency, and to stay updated with the latest best practices and regulations.
Organize and lead training sessions, workshops, and other educational activities.
Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify training needs and areas for improvement.
Ensure all staff members maintain required licensure and certifications.
Develop, manage, and monitor the facility's infection control program in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines.
Conduct regular infection risk assessments and implement necessary infection control procedures.
Investigate infection control issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
Ensure proper documentation of infection control efforts and provide regular reports to the facility's leadership team.
Act as a resource person for all staff regarding infection control and prevention measures.
Train staff on infection prevention measures and monitor compliance.
