Essential Job Functions:

• Understands and upholds Chico’s Employment Guidelines, policies, standards and procedures.
• Understands and promotes Chico culture by engaging all others with a positive, enthusiastic attitude at all times. Acts as a role model for Chico culture, mission and vision.
• Is responsible for the management, supervision and service of all Chico meeting areas and event functions.
• Plays an active role in the planning and production of banquets as determined by sales department.
• Attends Pre-Convene meetings with clients, as scheduled by the Sales staff.
• Assists Sales Department as needed, with strategy, event planning, development, pricing etc.
• Attends monthly Managers Huddles, and comes prepared with required accounting figures.
• Schedules and directs service briefings prior to each event.
• Facilitate monthly huddles to include Sales, F & B director, Banquet Chef, Event Staff, Kitchen Staff. Huddles to focus on product knowledge, department training, process changes, performance measures, safety issues, Chico Culture, and positive reinforcement.
• Assigns and oversees detailed training plan (department orientation) for all new Events Staff, ensuring all new staff have clear direction and feedback.
• Attends weekly Food and Beverage meetings.
• Participates in orientation, ensuring all staff attend necessary classes and complete Passports in the prescribed time frame.
• Is responsible for accurate posting of event bills and distribution of gratuities.
• Is responsible for writing weekly labor schedules, using UKG and Hotel Effectiveness. Schedules to be published 2 weeks out.
• Is responsible for meeting department labor cost goals.
• Is responsible for managing performance of staff in an ongoing, consistent manner. Addresses conflicts and discipline privately. Uses proper documentation.
• Communicates all maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Is responsible for monitoring job satisfaction and individual development of staff.
• Is responsible for daily regular contact with Banquet Chef relating to presentation, timing and general review of food functions.
• Is responsible for upholding guidelines for self and staff in regards to dress code and personal hygiene.
• Is responsible for cleanliness, organization and security of all banquet storage areas.
• Is responsible for security and inventory of all banquet equipment relative to function service or support.
• Maintains proper levels of inventory of linens, liquor, beer, wine and other related bar supplies.
• Is responsible for monthly inventory of liquor, beer, wine and bar mixes.
• Other duties as assigned.
