Performs preventative maintenance and documents completed procedures. Additionally, Stationary Engineer requires a high school diploma. Requires applicable Stationary Engineer's license for the state. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Stationary Engineer works under moderate supervision. Key Responsibilities- Conduct site investigations to assess soil and rock conditions- Perform geotechnical analysis and calculations- Design foundations, retaining structures, and slope stabilization systems- Collaborate with project teams to integrate geotechnical considerations- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to geotechnical specifications- Prepare clear and concise reports and recommendations
- Track budgets & project financials for accuracy; invoice clients appropriately.
- Maintain positive business relationships with clients, government officials, contractors, etc.
- Participate in professional meetings and/or business development functions as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Geotechnical Engieering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License, preference to State of Georgia
Experience in geotechnical investigations, geotechnical (or related) reports, defining testing plans, interpreting test data, performing engineering analyses for foundation design, drilling, boring plan layout, site preparation issues, slope stability and seismic hazard evaluations, structural special inspections.
