Stationary Engineer operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, generators, refrigeration, and turbines in buildings, plants or industrial facilities. Ensures that equipment is operating safely and within established limits. Being a Stationary Engineer conducts monitoring and failure analysis of meters, gauges and controls to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts. Performs preventative maintenance and documents completed procedures. Additionally, Stationary Engineer requires a high school diploma. Requires applicable Stationary Engineer's license for the state. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Stationary Engineer works under moderate supervision. Description:
• Experience with design for manufacturing and design for automation, including automation integration experience.
• Evaluate and implement innovative, cost effective, safe, manufacturing processes and techniques, which will improve the effectiveness of the manufacturing operations and business systems.
• Develop manufacturing planning, initial tooling requirements and costs, capability requirements, control plans, and assessments, which facilitate the specification of the manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of issues related to manufacturing processes and product designs.
• Develop and implement manufacturing flows, workstation layouts, and station controls, which optimize value added operations, operating costs, and product/process quality.
• Collaborate closely with various functional team members to enhance design for manufacturability and ease of integration to manufacturing facility. Provide regular updates to stakeholders as required.
• Utilize project management knowledge and skills alongside cross-functional partners to estimate the time and resources required to complete a project and then manage project execution to the plan.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering discipline) and 5-7 years of relevant manufacturing work experience required.
• HVAC or heavy industrial environment preferred. Integrated manufacturing experience in one or more of the following: machining, fabrication, welding, assembly.
• Experience with large capital equipment projects (investigation, procurement, and implementation)
• New product launch and project management experience.
• Knowledge of life cycle cost analysis, dimensional capability analysis, and capacity analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Interpersonal skills and team player.
• Proficiency with MS Office, CAD software, data analysis.
