JOB SUMMARY : Teens’ Closetprovides free clothing, resources, and skill building (goal setting, job readiness, resumes) to assist teens in foster care and low-income families to help them feel more confident, be successful, and shape a bright future.

This position oversees the functions of the services and facility, including compliance, volunteer oversight, and completion of duties.

This position is expected to work an average of 20-25 hours per week. Teen's Closet operates on prescheduled private appointments determined by the client and the Teen's Closet Coordinator availability.

We are looking for flexibility to work with and meet the needs of our clients, which may be after school and / or weekend timeframes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

• Oversee the general operation and success of Teens’ Closet, including receiving and processing donations, as well as displaying merchandise.
• Build strong relationships through community coalitions and agencies to enhance and strengthen the reputation and mission of Teens’ Closet in the community.
• Markets the program to appropriate clients and other recipients of service and provides group presentations.
• Make client appointments and provide screening of clients for eligibility requirements.
• Responsible for program development, implementation, and coordination of multiple program components with Sr. Program Manager’s oversight.
• Assists Sr. Program Manager with actively seeking new monetary donors, donations, grant, and fundraising opportunities.
• Provide resources and referrals to clients and their families as needed.
• Maintains all documentation required by agency, funding source or other entity, ensuring documents are accurate, up to date and reflect status of the program.
• Collects required data via intake forms, client satisfaction surveys, volunteer hours, and referral forms for input into agency databases.
• Represents Teens’ Closet in the community; provides information regarding the program to other agency staff, other agencies, and community groups, as requested.
• Assists with North Star’s Priceless Prom project.
• Attends and participates in trainings, meetings, and agency program events, as requested.
• Provides North Star Senior Program Manager with information and reports as required.
• Responsible for recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training volunteers to assist with program delivery.
• Supervise volunteers in accordance with agency personnel practices including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, guidance, etc.

Maintain comprehensive communication among all contacts (internal and external). Provide oversight and guidance for volunteers assigned to program.

Model professional standards and ethics in accordance with agency philosophy.

• Promotes ongoing commitment to excellence and continual quality improvement to ensure the highest quality of services to our staff and clients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Education / Background : Minimum of a High School Diploma with at least 2 years of experience working in education, health services, social services, or retail.

Previous work experience with youth is strongly preferred.

Job Knowledge : Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. Must have skills in community organizing, professional presentations, classroom management, basic counseling and interviewing and maintaining completed and accurate records.

Must be able to meet deadlines and prioritize activities. Must recognize and respect the uniqueness, values and identity of youth, parents and community partners.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands : Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, sit on floor and ambulate over uneven floor surfaces including stairs and steps.

Must be able to visually and auditory assess and interact with clients to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Requires work outside of the office and driving.

May lift up to 30 pounds.

Other requirements : Valid AZ driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to show proof of registration / One Fingerprint clearance or ability to obtain fingerprint clearance;

must maintain must be 21 years of age or older to drive on behalf of Catholic Charities.
