RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures employees are trained properly in maximizing cut yield and grinding operations. Ensures cut yields are measured regularly and are in line with profitability matrix.
Assigns work in the Production Room for same-day or future orders, organizes cutting tickets to ensure raw material is prepped and available for swift and timely completion and product flow through packaging is maximized.
Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure first in first out meat rotation from the Cooler and Freezer for all product and Inventory.
Ensures that the correct product is being processed for the customers, to the customer specifications and pars are being adhered to and met.
Works with Production Manager, Sales and Purchasing to plan future order production and Inventory requirements.
Works with Food Safety & Quality Assurance to maintain good manufacturing practices, meet HACCP and OSHA requirements and maintain all USDA standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Training
Related Experience
Minimum of 2 years, experience supervising; knowledge of beef and pork processing along with meat cutting experience pertaining to portion control techniques
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Proactive, good at problem solving, good oral / written communication skills, effectively transmit knowledge. Good organization skills.
Committed to high standards of ethics and integrity. Ability to motivate and energize people to achieve desired results.
Experience supervising a team of meat cutters and packers is preferred. Strong skills in process improvement, measurement of output, production goals set to improve productivity.
Computer skills required and Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to work in cold environment 30-45 degrees
The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $67,800 and $77,500. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
