Description
Acker, the oldest and most respected wine shop in America is hiring for Stock Clerk. This role will ensure that the retail store’s inventory is managed effectively while taking part in receiving shipments and organizing products in the store and cellar.
· Assist checking in product, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
· Read customer orders and/or shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
· Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
· Sort and place product on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined locations.
· File work orders or requests for stock items and distribute items to shipping or drivers.
· Ensure storage is accessible and safe for salespeople and other team members.
· Record amounts of product received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
· Assist in counting of physical inventory.
· Prepare parcels for mailing.
· May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
· Local deliveries, either walking or accompanied by a driver.
· Other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements

· Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
· Driven to grow. This position has potential to develop in other areas of the business.
· Appreciation of and passion for the Wine & Spirits industry a plus.

Education
· High School Diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements:
· This position requires heavy lifting (50 pounds regularly), standing, kneeling and bending.
