Strategic Planning Director directs and oversees an organization's strategic and long-range goal planning function. Drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals. Being a Strategic Planning Director analyzes emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, the viability of outside business partners, and sources of capital. Establishes and retains relationships with industry analysts and the investment community. Additionally, Strategic Planning Director utilizes data-driven methodologies to analyze business performance metrics and process improvement options effectively. Develops reporting and tools to communicate strategic plans and concepts to leadership. Conducts periodic status reviews of organizational goals and objectives to identify roadblocks to progress. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Strategic Planning Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. As the Manager, Strategic Planning you will contribute to the assigned brands' overall strategic communication direction. Our clients are two national restaurant brands with a combined 2,700 locations and are known for their menu's flavorful fusion of choices and late night drive-thru service. You will report into the Senior Director, Strategy and working with the Communications Planning team, to contribute to research and insights. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Los Angeles, CA. To be successful in this role, it is important that you are, curious, creative, analytical, and a team player. Your collaboration will help inform the media strategy and how the strategy will come to life in media. Managers must exhibit an understanding of consumer, category and cultural trends related to their brand to help inform the media strategy.
Responsibilities:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $59,000-$96,025. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
