Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team that will lead the procurement for all corporate functions (IT, HR, Legal, Finance)
- Develop and implement sourcing strategy to keep contracts and offerings competitive for the corporate functions
- Lead sustainable procurement for the company including partnering with Director of Sustainability and representing AdvanSix in external organizations such as Together for Sustainability (TfS)
- Oversee tactical purchasing for all corporate functions, including the issuance of purchase orders and/or payment of invoices
- Negotiate with suppliers to draw up procurement contracts; includes the negotiation, administration, extending, termination, and renegotiation of contracts
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations
- Lead continuous improvement opportunities to improve upon total cost and address issues with supplier performance
- Create and manage metrics necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and the company’s competitiveness
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 8 years of experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at different levels across the organization; excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to champion a cause and collaborate cross functionally to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Travel may be required
