Structural Engineer jobs in Fort Smith, AR
Structural Engineer designs load-bearing structures or structural elements, such as buildings, bridges, or roadways. Performs analysis of building materials for use in construction. Being a Structural Engineer develops blueprints or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations. Determines cause of structural failures, damages, and defects through site investigations. Additionally, Structural Engineer provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job Description

Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering of Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural design.
- Professional Engineering Registration or Engineer Intern Registration in Arkansas, or the ability to obtain registration through reciprocity.
- Knowledgeable in the design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry
- Proficient with structural engineering analysis and design software such as RISA
- Well organized and the ability to work independently on assignments.
Additional Information
Salary range $65,000 - $75,000
