Structural Engineer designs load-bearing structures or structural elements, such as buildings, bridges, or roadways. Performs analysis of building materials for use in construction. Being a Structural Engineer develops blueprints or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations. Determines cause of structural failures, damages, and defects through site investigations. Additionally, Structural Engineer provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Candidates:
- Must be willing to travel to and from jobsites across the CT area
- Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsites
- Must be team, solution, and safety oriented
- Should have 2 years of experience but we will train!
Construction duties include:
- Concrete repair
- Concrete demolition
- Concrete placement and finishing
- Concrete strengthening
- Formwork / carpentry
- Rebar replacement
- Caulking
- Expansion joints
- Coating application
- Carbon Fiber installation
Earn up to $25 per hour depending on level of experience.
