    • You will create written documents such as specifications, test requirement documents, and drawings for civil engineering projects.
    • You will perform quality assurance review of drawings, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, and studies prepared by A/E design firms.
    • You will analyze and design extensive structural alterations, and assess structural condition of facilities to determine needs for repairs and modifications.
    • You will review plans, designs, and construction phases to ensure civil engineering projects remain in scope. Requirements Conditions of Employment

Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience as a professional civil engineer at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing professional structural engineering products, services, and consultation with facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance; 2) Ensuring planning, design, and construction are completed in accordance with specifications, criteria, policy, industry codes and standards; 3) Performing design analyses and calculations for structural projects; and4) Developing complex designs and analyses utilizing advanced structural engineering software.

Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
