Subrogation Specialist is responsible for subrogation activities including the identification and research of subrogation claims. Assists in the recovery of overpayments for duplicate coverage, workers' compensation, and no-fault claims. Being a Subrogation Specialist identifies legal liability and pursues, negotiates, and settles subrogation collection. Researches paid claims, answers inquiries, and coordinates with other departments, insurance adjustors, attorneys, and members. Additionally, Subrogation Specialist interacts with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and underwriters to recommend and document the necessary information to close a file. Collects information needed to determine when an on-site investigation is necessary. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Subrogation Specialist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. 1 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
1 years of experience as a scrub tech, working in operating room
1 years of experience in general diagnostic, and special procedures, cardiac catheterization
Experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus
Basic computer skills
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 60 days from starting
Associates Degree from college accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)
DUTIES:
Prepare patients and procedure rooms for vascular access procedures, arrange instruments for interventional procedures, maintain sterile techniques within the sterile filed and clean the procedure room after each case
Assist clinical team with patient and procedure room preparation and post-procedure clean-up, operating the C-Arm where applicable, scrub-in for procedures, clean and sterilize tools and equipment
Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies
Maintain a clean and safe working environment and may serve as the Safety Officer within the Center
Assist in scheduling patients for vascular access procedures and provide assistance in transporting patients within the center
Participate in community education activities regarding access center
Other duties as assigned
