Subrogation Specialist, Sr. is responsible for subrogation activities including the identification and research of subrogation claims. Assists in the recovery of overpayments. Being a Subrogation Specialist, Sr. coordinates with other departments, insurance representatives and members. Processes subrogation, workers' compensation, and other claims where third-party liability exists. Additionally, Subrogation Specialist, Sr. develops cases resulting from beneficiary or provider-initiated inquiries, internal referrals, personal research, or computer-generated reports. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Subrogation Specialist, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.     Overview

    The R&D Sr. Document Specialist performs work per the direction of the R&D International Project/Document Manager to provide the necessary research, documentation and support for International and Domestic product development.  

    Responsibilities

    Essential

    • Coordinates product development activities for US and International markets to ensure successful launches
    • Manages technical information to assist with product registrations for all countries (Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, China, Malaysia,  Singapore, EU, Mexico, etc.)
    • Maintains specifications for all raw ingredients, formulations and components for all product categories
    • Coordinates with Chemists to prepare formulation specifications, and additional documentation required for VFL, Personal Care, Sei Bella, Ecosense, etc. product registrations for all countries
    • Maintains current records as well as historical archives for all product registrations for all domestic and International products
    • Prepares necessary documentation for Kosher & Halal product certifications

    Additional

    • Performs appropriate tests to demonstrate nutritional label claims and stability/shelf life testing with internal or external laboratories as needed
    • Assists with sensory and in home use tests of trial compositions, Melaleuca products and competitive products
    • Uses internal computer systems to record and analyze data, prepare graphs, reports and memos and communicate with coworkers in R&D and in other Melaleuca Departments
    • Prepares data summaries using appropriate mathematical and statistical tools available in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications
    • Represents R&D function in support of QA, Operations, Purchasing and Marketing activities
    • Obtains information and samples from Melaleuca suppliers
    • Performs and summarizes experimental designs incorporating multiple samples

    Qualifications

    • Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.)
    • Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy
    • Proficient in PC applications including word processing (e.g. Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (e.g. Excel), database (e.g. Access/Accuterm) and web browsers
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Communicate courteously and effectively via telephone (e.g. Telephone Etiquette)
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Maintain enthusiasm under stress
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
