Being a Supply Chain Director negotiates with vendors to obtain optimal contracts and pricing. Utilizes data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirements. Additionally, Supply Chain Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Supply Chain Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The Legal Counsel position delivers timely, independent, and practical advice and counsel to BIC’s Global Procurement Team in connection with matters relating to North America. The position drafts and negotiates a broad range of contracts in support of vendor, supplier, customer, and strategic relationships. As importantly, the position provides input on business strategy, evaluates legal risks, and advises the company to protect against liabilities, while helping drive the business forward in its strategic partnerships and contractual relationships. The position also advises in connection with the standardization of contract forms and developing contracting processes, including training business team members to equip them to negotiate and execute standard contracts while ensuring consistent, balanced, and approved contract terms.
