Inglewood Residential & Community Services has been in business as a Group Home for Developmentally Disabled individuals since 1978. We have staff who have worked here for over 20 years that tell us we are a great caring place to work!
We are looking for a Full Time Direct Support Professional who is interested in coordinating medical appointments/doctor contacts, transporting clients to medical appointments, overseeing our client medication and coordinating with our delegating nurse. This position also provides direct client care. Candidate needs to be self motivated, flexible, caring, and detail oriented. Staff will work and have fun with four women with developmental disabilities, while assisting with all aspects of their daily lives. This can include: participating in community activities, personal hygiene, food prep, medication administration, record keeping to mention a few.
We looking for previous experience with one of the following: Exemption Letter, HCA License, CNA License or 75 hour certificate. Candidate needs good communication skills with the ability to clearly speak, read and write in English. We need someone who is Nurse Delegated.and prefer someone who has experience working with client medications and Dr. appointments. Candidate also needs a high school diploma/GED, be able to pass a background check and have the ability to drive residents in our agency van while participating in community activities. Basic computer skills are needed. Must be able to transfer clients.
Must work at least one weekend day and be able to provide occasional staffing coverage.
