Surgeon - Pediatric jobs in Colorado

Discovery Kids Pediatric Dentistry, located in Colorado Springs, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Dental Assistant. We are looking for a dental assistant with a caring and can-do attitude willing to go above and beyond with their interactions with patients, patients' families, and staff members. This is a full-time position working Monday through Thursday, with some Fridays.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Utilize electronic dental records and digital radiography.
• Prepares treatment rooms by stocking, breaking down, setting up, and sterilizing.
• Prepares treatment plans.
• Checking patients in
• Screening patient forms, including health history
• Assists in dental emergencies that occur in the clinic by preparing the treatment room and ensuring the accessibility of instruments, equipment, and materials during procedures. Anticipates instruments needed by dentists throughout the procedure and ensures timely access to instruments.
• Actively participates in morning huddles and team meetings
• Monitors dental supply inventory and communicates needs to supply and equipment manager

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and take feedback.
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant certification program
• 1 or more years as a Dental Assistant
• Pediatrics experience preferred.
• Dentrix experience is a plus.
• CPR and basic life support (BLS) Certification
• X-Ray certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

• No weekends

Ability to Relocate:

• Colorado Springs, CO 80918: Relocate before starting work (Required)
