Reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Additionally, Surgeon - Vascular may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Surgeon - Vascular's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Recruiting for a vascular/endovascular surgeon to join a collaborative team for Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Qualified Candidates:- Must be board certified in their specialty
- New Hampshire licensure or ability to obtain
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, physicians and administration
- Percutaneous and endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial diseases
- Open and surgical bypass procedures for PAD
- Endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm
- Thoracic endovascular aortic aneurysm repair
- Extra-cranial carotid disease
- Venous procedures including VNUS closure procedures a plus
- Proficient with wires and catheters
- Competitive compensation with occurrence based malpractice coverage
- Weekend call rotation is every 4th weekend
