Content Hacker, a partner organization of Content at Scale, is on the hunt for a dynamic Head of Events. This individual will be instrumental in orchestrating "Content Hacker Live", a groundbreaking conference centered around cutting-edge content marketing methodologies, and will accompany the President of Content at Scale during various speaking engagements, capturing key moments and insights on video. The core objective will be to derive optimal return on investment from these events, consolidating leads for our CRM, coordinating other pivotal events, and ensuring every event turns a profit. This role is based out of Austin, TX, where you will work hand-in-hand with our founder to unlock new avenues of opportunity in sponsorships, speaker recruitment, and event logistics.
Core Responsibilities:
Sponsorship Engagement: Craft persuasive sponsorship packages, ensuring they resonate with potential partners. Lead the outreach initiative, engage potential sponsors, and ensure their continued involvement.
Speaker Outreach & Recruitment: Scout, engage, and secure industry-leading key speakers. Recruit, invite and confirm speakers at unpaid, high-exposure offers.
Event Management: Oversee the entire spectrum of event logistics, from venue selection to ensuring flawless day-of operations. This includes managing the conference agendas, speaker itineraries, and all crucial event materials. Track timelines and team communications.
Sales & Marketing: Create and implement a robust strategy targeting the sale of 500 tickets for our inaugural event. Leverage our expansive email list and various other channels to drive ticket sales.
Financial Stewardship: Closely monitor the event budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and profitability.
Quality Assurance: Strive for excellence in every event, and achieve the overall KPI of a profitable event executed with a 95% retention rate of satisfied attendees eager to participate in our future events.
On-site Coordination: Play a pivotal role on the day of the event, overseeing the seamless coordination of talks, speaker engagements, and more.
Video Documentation: Travel alongside the President of Content at Scale during speaking engagements, ensuring every vital moment is captured on video.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 3 years in the events domain, preferably handling corporate or industry-specific events with a sizable audience (100 attendees).
Project Management Prowess: Demonstrable expertise in project management, complemented by a meticulous attention to detail.
Tech-Savviness: Proficient in the Google Suite, MS Office, PPT/Canva, Trello, or similar platforms.
Communication: Stellar written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Team Player & Individual Contributor: Ability to thrive in both collaborative and independent settings.
Passion: A genuine passion for orchestrating events and a deep interest in the ever-evolving realm of content marketing.
Compensation: Given the responsibilities associated with this position, we're targeting a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
