Job Summary: The Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist is responsible for the operational aspects and data input into the LMS to ensure database integrity, accuracy, and user access and output of required data. This includes working with other interdepartmental LMS positions, LMS vendor(s), user groups, training users and other users to achieve learning objectives and optimal functionality of the LMS. Works to ensure proper usage of LMS and serves as a point of contact for administration and enforcement of LMS processes. The LMS Specialist works with subject matter experts to create and deliver online learning content and serves as a technical liaison with customers and third-party vendors of online learning modules. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Administration and Operations of LMS - Partners with WellStar HRIS team to load end users and administrators to LMS. - Creates and maintains groups and subgroups to ensure proper course assignments and reporting. - Creates and maintains processes related to course creation, registration, deployment and evaluation in the LMS. - Plans, organizes, manages and executes input of content into the LMS, testing, and adapting content as needed, - Assists with the creation of business processes for adding credentials, development paths and assign training based on best practice. - Works with SuccessFactors (LMS vendor) learning consultants and technical support to configure the system to support WellStar’s business needs. - Facilitates and delivers LMS system and business process learning sessions to required audiences. Sessions may include live classroom sessions, synchronous or asynchronous webinars and one-on-one, on-the-job training. Flexes instruction and facilitation style and approach to fit the needs of the audience, content, and local business or cultural requirements. - Leads and facilitates regularly scheduled LMS administrator group meetings to ensure coordinated consistent system and business process best practices and provide training to a global audience. - Manages projects with the ability to meet deadlines and satisfy customer expectations. 50% Development and Deployment of Online Learning Modules - Works with subject matter experts to analyze WellStar training needs using appropriate models such as ADDIE and develops online content using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, Lectora and/or Adobe Presenter. - Upload and maintain materials to be hosted on the LMS (courses, references, document, resources, assessments, etc…) - Serves as technical liaison with customers, third-party vendors, and contractors to guarantee functional compliance of online training deliverables with the LMS, internal security policies, and institutional branding standards. - Develops and implements cost-effective and innovative solutions for department training initiatives, such as web-based online course delivery models, rapid online learning course development templates, mobile learning development and tracking, social media web portals, and web-based processes for uploading course content into LMS test and production environments. 50% Required Minimum Education: High school diploma Required or GED from accredited institution Required and Associate's Degree strongly preferred.
