The City of Galveston’s Information Technology Department is seeking a motivated career- and customer-oriented Senior Systems Administrator that will support the city’s information technology needs. This on-site role’s job duties will include but not be limited to system/server administration, hardware infrastructure, storage area networks, active directory management, and handle projects related to data center management, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery. Support is provided to all lines of business for the city, addressing both internal and external system requirements. This role is an emergency essential position that will require, at various times, after hours and weekend work. This role will report to the Infrastructure and Security Director and does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.
