In order to help support uninterrupted availability of INSCOM’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) baseline, the Level 3 Systems Administrator:
· Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
· Provides in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems; configures and manages UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software
· Troubleshoots, maintains integrity of and configures network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
· Provides detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
· Performs systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involve account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
· Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
· Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
· Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
· Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem
· Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
· Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
· Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems
· Installs/loads operating system and application software
· Isolates and resolves hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
· Troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
· Integrates new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT level III
Education and Years of Relevant Experience:
· High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant experience; or
· Associate’s Degree and 8 years of relevant experience; or
· Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience; or
· Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or
· Ph.D. and 2 years of relevant experience
