Job Duties:
2. Create test plans which will allow for a proper evaluation of security issues of the network and systems infrastructure.
3. Work with Infrastructure Team to communicate the information security state, improve information security controls, and remediate risk issues.
4. Maintain updated security plans and documentation of historical security events.
5. Interpret security policies, regulations, standards, and other mandates into security control requirements and work with management to create security policies.
6. Perform IT security risk assessments, product and application security evaluations and provide documented results/recommendations to IT Management.
7. Develop and conduct IT security education and awareness training to improve organizational security posture.
8. Measure and report security metrics to IT Management and IT Steering Committee.
9. Monitor McAfee, Red Canary, Mimecast and o365 security alerts and respond to security incidents.
10. Act as a Subject Matter Expert with regards to all IT security related products and policies.
11. Develop automation scripts and workflows to track and respond to incidents.
12. Assist in PoC solutions including the evaluation, deployment, and management of new technologies.
13. Participate in weekly 1:1 and team meetings with Infrastructure & Operations Teams.
14. Communicate the current status of all ongoing projects and any security specific needs.
15. Cross train/mentor staff in security packages and best-practices.
