Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Architect for a direct hire/permanent role in Dayton, OH.  This role will require an active Top Secret clearance and will work a hybrid schedule of onsite/in the office and remote work. Relocation assistance is available.  

As  Systems Architect, you will apply detailed knowledge of avionics engineering in support of avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods to include review of ICD, sustainment, modeling/simulation, T&E, and model based systems engineering.  You will perform analysis, requirement analyses, and system capacity analysis, investigate alternative solutions and architecture trade-offs, make assessments, support operations concept development, and document results. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform analysis of as-is enterprise level infrastructure to include interoperability, ports/protocols, data/product transfer, and translate/document/brief/maintain products.
• Work with a team of peer Contractors, Military, and Civilian personnel to ensure a successful cloud transition.
• Work with the team to ensure all aspects of transition are accounted for, to include but not limited to, analysis, architecture development, documentation, planning, testing, migration, verification, communications plans, etc.
• Support aircraft information management systems requirements, testing, certification, and spectrum management requirements, testing, and certification. 
• Help the cloud transition team perform an as-is analysis of the existing infrastructure.
• Create, develop, update, analyze DODAF architecture like diagrams using software such as Visio.
• Coordinate transition efforts with peer Contractors, Military, and Civilian personnel.
• Perform Project Management like duties to ensure all interoperability aspects are accounted to coordinate with external agencies (outside current customer) to ensure supported Programs of Record requirements are met.
• Communicate with other engineering functionals including but not limited to crew systems, EMI, reliability and maintainability, manufacturing, and system safety.
• Assist in performing engineering tasks in support of development activities including requirements definition, design, integration, test, and transition to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science plus 15 years of experience, or an ABET Master’s Degree plus 12 years of experience is required.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Ability to perform analysis of as-is enterprise level infrastructure to include interoperability, ports/protocols, data/product transfer, and translate/document/brief/maintain products.
• Must understand the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and create/update respective documentation/diagrams as needed.
• Ability to self-manage and identify "what needs to be done", present options/Courses of Action (COAs) to Government leadership with recommendations.
• Experience with Project Management to include Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Must be proficient making network/ DoDAF type diagrams.
• Must be proficient using MS Visio and other Office Suite products.
• Knowledge in avionics, software, computer, radar, and communications engineering principles.
• Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements (for example, must have and maintain active Security CE (or equivalent)
• Scripting experience (JavaScript, PowerShell, Batch, etc.)

Additional Information

This direct hire/permanent role will work a hybrid schedule of onsite and remote weekly in Dayton, OH.   Due to the requirements of the projects supported, this role will require the selected candidate to be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Top Secret clearance.  Relocation assistance is available.
