We are looking for the right Systems Architect that will partner with our Account Teams to provide pre-sales technical engineering for our SLED University of California, Norcal customers. Who You Will Work With
Our range of interests outside of Cisco vary greatly, but we all love technology and using it to make our customers successful. The Systems Architect (SA) works with a wide range of people to support our customers. You start with account managers to identify and develop opportunities, to create customer designs and architectures and the business cases to support them. While you are focused on your accounts, you will also collaborate with the other SAs on the University of California team, the specialist teams for our technologies and services, and our partners to ensure your customers are getting the right solution, services, and support.

- Experience as a Systems Architect, Systems Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, or other solutions engineering role
- Deep understanding of Cisco core technologies. Strong networking skills, including wired and wireless.
- Problem solving skills to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action
- In-depth knowledge in one or more of Cisco’s competitors technologies
- Passion for customer success by identifying customer struggles and creating compelling solutions for them.
- Strong interpersonal skills to become a trusted advisor to our customers and partners
- Strong presentation, demonstration, whiteboarding, and communication skills.
- Automation experience with tools, programming languages, or APIs
- A desire to give back to your community
- A technical degree or equivalent experience
- Cisco or industry certifications are desired

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
