Summary:

Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to support MDA System Design & Specification (SED). SED is responsible for a large body of key documentation used by the entire agency including the System Specification. SED is visible throughout the agency and is known for its attention to detail and sound engineering products. SED is looking for a self-starter who is ready to join the team in the area of engineering management.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the development, management, and planning for current and future capabilities as it relates to MDS requirements development.
• Develop and mentor basic personnel.
• Review and provide analysis of MDS requirements development, additions, and changes as well as quality checks on analysis, documentation, and presentations related to this area. This includes review of final documentation from Boeing National Team.
• Support technical interchange meetings.
• Assist in managing the MDA Engineering Requirements Group including agenda management, meeting minutes, briefings and supporting documentation management, and meeting execution.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in STEM discipline.
• 7 years of experience.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Previous systems engineering experience, prefer MDA systems engineering practices and processes.
• Engineering management experience (such as program management, resources, scheduling, process improvements, organizing and coordinating engineering activities).
• Basic knowledge of MDS nomenclature, system architecture, and the Subsystems that make-up MDA.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Excellent people, organization, management, computer, and leadership skills
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Prepared to begin a job in a telework environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• DOORS experience desired.

Clearance: Secret clearance is required.

Location: FT Belvoir, VA, NCR

Travel: Some travel may be required.
