Systems Engineering Manager manages daily operations in the department responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Ensures that hardware and/or software are designed and installed in a manner that meets the needs of the organization. Being a Systems Engineering Manager monitors systems performance and provides recommendations as required. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Systems Engineering Manager typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Systems Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Systems Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We've got an opportunity for you on our Arkansas Aviation team in Rogers as a Project Manager - Aviation Civil.
    As part of Garver's Aviation team, you'll produce full design phase deliverables including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, exhibits, technical reports, and narratives for airports across the region. You'll collaborate and coordinate with multidiscipline design engineers, planners, and technicians,. You'll use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Storm and Sanitary, and other civil design software packages. You may work 2-5 hours of overtime a week to complete tasks. You'll do some traveling with the occasional overnight.
    What you'll do:
    • Manage aviation design projects (airside and landside) related to new pavement construction, drainage improvements, utility relocation, sustainable design, and pavement rehabilitation projects
    • Manage construction administration and oversight for aviation clients
    • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and funding agencies
    • Provide outstanding client service
    What you'll bring:
    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
    • 4 or more years of experience in civil engineering or an aviation related field
    • Professional Engineer licensure (PE) or ability to obtain licensure within 12 months of hire
    Bonus points if you bring these, too:
    • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software packages
