Acacia Health is looking for an enthusiastic & high-energy candidate to fill the newly created position of Talent Aquisition & HR Specialist. Acacia Health has grown to a size where our Recruitment and Talent Acquisition function needs to be expanded and more targeted. This expansion will be necessary in order to support our aggressive growth plans. We are looking for someone seasoned in home health and hospice clinical recruiting and who is enthusiastic about acquiring talent at a fast pace.
The Acacia Talent Aquisition & HR Specialist will source, screen, hire and onboard qualified healthcare professionals in partnership with HR and our clinical management team. As part of this process, we will expect the Recruiter to develop relationships with our clinical back office and marketing teams, as well as with job referral sources (such as job fairs, colleges/clinical programs). The Talent Aquisition & HR Specialist must also carefully evaluate candidate skills for alignment with position requirements and cultural fit. As the final but critical step in the process, they must work with the HR department for a smooth hire-to-onboarding transition. Frequent collaboration with our operations team to forecast staffing needs will also be expected.
Ultimately, we are seeking someone with high-energy who can enthusiastically inspire and attract the best talent in home health and hospice, while maintaining and organizing tracking and recruitment tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and executes recruitment strategies to attract, screen, and hire quality healthcare professionals based on requisitions and projected clinical staff needs
- Meets with and communicates with our clinical management team and our operations team regularly to collaborate on projected needs and to regularly and thoroughly communicate daily status
- Utilizes various recruitment tools, systems, and methods to source and attract a pool of qualified and diverse candidates, including the active management of our Indeed and LinkedIn recruiting account and system tools/workflows
- Matches and evaluates candidate skills through screening and interviewing
- Completes necessary reference checks on candidates to confirm background and work experience
- Oversees and completes background checks and license credential verifications, in conjunction with our Employee Records Coordinator.
- Works with the operations team and HR on establishing all elements of the job offer, such as compensation and terms of employment, then hands off to HR after management approval, then partners with HR on candidate communication and onboarding scheduling
- Maintains regular contact with and develops relationships with our marketing team and job referral sources (such as job fairs, colleges/clinical programs) and is responsible for building a network of qualified candidates
- Builds and cultivates relationships with industry contacts to gain industry knowledge on industry trends within the home health and hospice market segments to identify top candidates and candidate sources.
- Documents and updates candidate and recruiting activities in a recruitment tracking system daily
- Participates in onabording new hires
- Collaborates with HR for other human resource needs
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recruitment/talent acquisition experience
- Minimum 1 year of home health or hospice recruitment experience preferred
- Possess an ability to be proactive and aggressive in recruitment approach
- Highly organized and flexible with an ability to multi-task in a face paced and changing environment
- Able to communicate clearly and positively with a high level of interpersonal skills as the face of our agencies
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week physically in our Orange County office Monday through Friday, with occasional early morning, after hours, or weekend work to effectively communicate with potential candidates

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
