We take pride in being known in the industry as nimble, entrepreneurial and responsive As part of the Talent Development Team, this role will support the execution of Everest’s Talent Development strategy by partnering closely with the Human Resource Business Partners and various business areas. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience as a Talent Development or Human Resources professional with proven accomplishments in developing, managing, and facilitating learning programs. This position requires an individual who has the maturity in judgment, energy, and the discipline to drive strategic programs in Everest’s fast paced environment. This role will report to the Assistant Vice President, Talent Development. The Director role is primarily aligned (90%) to the Everest Insurance (P&C) and Reinsurance business areas and supports the Underwriting, Actuarial, Operations and Claims areas and (10%) to corporate-wide Talent Development initiatives. This is a hybrid position headquartered in Warren, NJ and may require up to 25% travel. Job Responsibilities: Assists in the development and execution of Talent Development strategy and vision across the organization. Collaborate with key business partners to provide learning & development expertise and co-create solutions at all levels within the organization to align training priorities Develop and deliver engaging programs utilizing adult learning principles and ensure transfer of learning through effective instructional design methods. Assesses the impact of programs by measuring employee understanding of the subject matter. Handles complex issues. Provides coaching, mentoring and performance consulting. Acts as lead on special projects. Design and deliver in-house (and where appropriate with expert third parties), a blended approach to learning & development, including but not limited to – one-on-one coaching, classroom/workshop training and online training . Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with leaders and managers to ensure that coaching and development provided is reinforced through ongoing performance management. Analyzes and monitors the effectiveness of internal and external training programs. Manages high visibility projects across the Insurance and Reinsurance Organizations Partner closely with business areas to assess, develop, design, implement, and evaluate learning and development across various business areas. Collaborates and works effectively with all team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, or other HR related field (e.g., Adult Education) 5 – 10 years’ experience in managing medium to large scale Talent Development programs Experience working with leaders across multiple levels of an organization Experience in Reinsurance or Insurance P&C underwriting is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of and experience with performance and talent development. Exceptional communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. Project Management experience preferred Experience with classroom and webinar facilitation including WebEx and Teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Office 365 – Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Strong data analysis skills Experience with Workday or LMS preferred.
