One of our software product clients based in NJ/NY is looking to bring on a Storage / Data Protection Engineer for a 12 month hybrid contract. The Engineer will be onsite 3 days per week at one of our clients Data Centers located in NY & NJ. The Engineer will be allowed to pick a location to work out of.
Our client is targeting folks with expertise around NetBackup & Tape. The Engineer will be responsible for supporting Tape Operations as well as running backup & restores. Engineers will also be asked to implement and manage strategies to safeguard sensitive data and maintain security measure to pt unauthorized access or security breaches.
Must Have:
Experience with Symantec/Veritas NetBackup
Experience with Tape(s) - Management, Libraries, Backup, Storage, Formats
Great communication
Nice to Have:
Exposure to StorageTek or other Vendor Products
